Supervision
Supervision is for therapists who are not yet eligible for independent licensure. Therapists working towards licensure can provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Consultation
Consultation is for therapists who are already independently licensed and are interested in receiving additional support.
Clinical Supervision Can Be Useful If:
You are interested in informal postdoctoral supervised hours as you work towards independent licensure.
You are currently on a postdoctoral fellowship and looking to start a part-time private practice on the side.
You are planning to start your own private practice after your postdoctoral fellowship ends.
You are currently at a group practice and want to start your own private practice.
You recently started your own practice and are looking for additional support.
Consultation Can Be Beneficial For:
Learning a new theoretical orientation
Receiving guidance for working with a new clinical population
Discussing professional development and business goals
Obtaining assistance with clinically complicated or difficult cases
Receiving support and feedback within the context of a trusting relationship
I am passionate about helping therapists feel supported and empowered so that they can excel in helping their clients.
My Supervision Style
Relational
People thrive when they feel supported by their relationships. In supervision, I focus on providing a safe space where you can embrace authenticity and curiosity. I value mutual vulnerability and openness to foster a deep and meaningful supervision relationship.
Psychodynamic
In supervision, I strive to help my supervisee understand their clients through a psychodynamic lens, incorporating aspects from ego, object relations, attachment, and relational theories.
When conceptualizing a client, I am thoughtful about how the person’s previous experiences contributed to the development of their current emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns. A nuanced understanding of the client’s cultural identities and personal history guides my therapeutic interventions.
Integrative
Integrating stengths from numerious theoretical orientation, I approach supervision with a flexibility, tailoring my support for each supervisee’s and client’s unique needs. My perspective integrates aspects from psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, DBT, ACT and positive psychology.
I also take a developmental approach to supervision, meeting my supervisee where they are and adjusting my style to fit their stage of training.
